It seems like just yesterday that we started Second Grade. We have been very busy these past two months.
 
Math- We are learning about regrouping in addition and subtraction. We working on our addition and subtraction facts for our timed tests. We just finished money.

Reading- We have had a lot of fun reading. For our book reports, we have a different genre each month. This way we get to try lots of different kinds of books. So far, we have read mystery and fiction books. In December, we will read holiday books. Also, we have read three great chapter books. We read The Stories Julian Tells, Treasure Island and Robin Hood. We can't wait to see what December brings.
Language Arts- We are doing lots of writing and working on our grammar and sentence structure. We have done couplets and narrative and descriptive paragraphs.
Religion- In Religion, we are preparing for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. We will receive our Reconciliation books in a prayer service next week. It's hard to believe that Reconciliation is only three months away!

When we return from Thanksgiving, we will start our Christmas preparations. We will be busy all month.
