5th grade uses the Reading Street program. We will cover one story every week or so, and we will practice comprehension strategies as a class and in small center groups. Students will be responsible for independent reading outside of school, and they will complete a book report project once a month. We also use time on Tuesdays and our Library time on Fridays for novel study.
