IRON OAKS

Iron Oaks is an Outdoor Adventure Center - It provides an experiential learning opportunity. Both 7th grade classes participate in this adventure.
Our goal was to encourage a cooperative spirit among classmates; develop self reliance, teamwork; and allow students to realize their leadership potential.
All in favor ........
Hands in pockets - what is the object here?
Does the maze work on the ground?
Is this the birthday line??

We went to Iron Oaks on September 28th

Our whoe group had to get on a small piece of wood. We had to listen to each other or nothing would get done.

Iron Oaks taught my group the value of teamwork.

My favorite was the Trolley!

The field trip to Iron Oaks was really fun!

We worked really well as a team and helped each other succeed.

We didn't accomplish one of the activities and it was because we were not working together.

My favorite activity was the "Birthday Log".

My favorite was when we were blindfolded and had to make a square with a rope.

The leader could not speak; we had to observe his/her body language. It taught us how to work together without verbal communication.

In some of the challenges, I learned about respect.

We had a great time working together as a team.

We had to fit onto to a small platform: and we accomplished our goal.

It took trust and teamwork to be a "blind" person led by a "mute" leader.

After the maze activity, I realized that we needed to talk about what we were going to do, and how to do it.

We learned that when you are a team you shouldn't get down on one another.

We were not able to complete one of our challenges. Even so, it was still a lot of fun.

I would definitely want to do the field trip again!!

The Jedi Knight event made us depend on another's voice because we couldn't see.

Iron Oaks is all about teamwork. Amazing things can happen when people work together.

We learned that it took cooperation, listening, as well as talking to one another to complete a challenge.

Reasons we were successful: we followed the rules, we didn't cheat, we cooperated, and we were able to think of an idea to complete the task.

If the field trip was a competition, I don't think it mattered if we won or lost. I think our team would be happy with what we accomplished.

It was a great trip and I learned a lot.

The swing took the most teamwork. We had to help and encourage one another.

Iron Oaks was a fun field trip!!

Our group was successful because we worked together and used communication and trust.

The key to our success was communication, working together, listening to each other, every one participating and giving a lot of effort.
