Social Studies

The Social Studies program is based around non-fiction reading and writing, and other appropriate skills.  During the two-year program students will learn American History, Economics, Geography, Political Sciences, and some Social Systems.  The American Nation textbook will be the center of the studies, but the Federal and Illinois Constitution will also be studied.  7th grade will spend significant time working on the National History Day Program.  See History Fair section for more information.
