The verb "ir"

The verb "ir" ("to go") is irregular.  It is used as "to" plus a verb, eg. to go.

1. (yo) voy = I go , I am going

2. (tú) vas = you go , you're going (familiar)

3. (Usted) va = you go , you're going (formal)

4. (él) va = he goes / he's going

5. (ella) va = she goes / she's going

 

Voy a la casa. = I am going to the house.

Voy a ir a la casa. = I going to go to the house.

 

Voy a estudiar. = I am going to study.
