Know conjugations:

Cantar is the infinitive meaning "sing".

To conjugate the verb "cantar" drop the "ar" ending and replace it with the ending, corresponding with each pronoun.

Yo (I) - "o" ending: Canto (I sing).

tú (you, informal/familiar) - "as" ending: Cantas. (You sing).

usted Ud. (you, formal) - "a" ending: Canta. (You sing).

él (he) - "a" ending: Canta. (He sings).

ella (she) - "a" ending: Canta. (She sings).
