Larry Stilgebauer Technology Awards

The North Cook Educational Service Center instituted the Exemplary Use of Technology Award Program in 1990 to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the Role of Technology in Education Conference. The program awards Districts, Schools, and Teachers for innovative projects that increase student learning through the integration of technology.

Larry Stilgebauer, a Principal and a Technology Leader in Palatine School District 15, passed away suddenly in the Summer of 1996. In recognition of his leadership, the North Cook Intermediate Service Center named the award in his honor.

Suburban Cook County Regional Offices of Education, Intermediate Service Centers (North, South and West40), and Learning Technology Centers of Area One joined the program in 1999.

Awards are open to all educators (individuals or teams), and administrators. Three levels of recognition are being awarded: Exemplary, Certificate of Merit, and Honorable Mention.
