Deployment
of Technology in the Library Resource
Center
The
Library Resource Center has technology at it's fingertips. The
library has five computer workstations where students can do
research for class projects by going to appointed sites, given
by the teacher or librarian, or using our many research CD's. A
sixth computer is used, by the librarian, for servicing the
students.
The
library book collection is electronically cataloged. The
electronic catalog is available to the students to search for a
book on the computer by TITLE, AUTHOR, SUBJECT, or KEYWORD. The
St. Mary library book collection has also gone online to the
classrooms. Now every student and faculty member can access our
electronic catalog system from his or her classroom. This is
most helpful when students are doing research projects, they
can now see what is available in our library from the comfort
of their classroom. The computer lab has three workstations
connected to the library server.
