On Your Mark. Get Set. Go!

St. Mary School 10th Annual Olympi-thon

That's right, mark your calanders for FRIDAY, MAY 30st, 2008. Our St. Mary School Family will Be participating in a day of fantastic fun & games. The students will be divided into 14 teams and competing at 14 different game stations. Each team will be co-captained by 2 eighth-graders. At least 2-3 students from K thru 7th grade will make up the remander of the team. So every team will be made of K-8, with 8th graders being the leaders. The teams will be color-coordinated. That means that if you child is on the BLUE team, they need to wear a BLUE shirt or shorts or both! Teams & colors will be posted on Friday, May 23, in all classrooms. So your child won't know until then what team or color he/she is on. The games planned are no more difficult then anything they do in gym class. Mostly gross motor skills: running, jumping, catching, throwing, etc. Theywill be geared toward the appropriate age-- not to hard for the little ones & not to easy for the older ones. It will be a great time! After all this is fun we will serve our traditional Hot Dog Lunch, and be dissmissed promptly at 12:00 noon.

PARENTS: Dont feel left out!!!! We still need YOU!! Without your help this great event doesn't fly. Parents, grandparents, and especially NEW parents-all are needed to run the game stations, keep the kids moving in an orderly fashion, etc. Any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call me, Carol Scardina (795-1577). Come and enjoy a day of fun in the sun (yes it will be sunny!) with your child(ren).
