Qualified Faculty and Staff
The teachers
at St. Mary's are the crucial ingredient to St. Mary's
success. Teachers who apply to St. Mary's must have
excellent credentials and - perhaps most important -
an attitude of caring.
All members
of our faculty hold at least a Bachelor's Degree and
all regular classroom teachers are State Certified. In
addition, twelve members of the staff presently hold or
are completing a master's degree; others are engaged
in graduate programs, post-graduate study and
continuing education courses.
The
Principal and Assistant Principal are experienced
administrators who hold a master's degree and are
State Certified in school administration, supervision
and curriculum development (K-12).

Two of your distinguished teachers were honored Tuesday night at Saint Ignatius College Prep for their exemplary and outstanding service as elementary school teachers. Ms. Susan Lachowicz was nominated by freshman Connor Cronin and Mr. Martin Graham-McHugh was nominated by freshman Jack Thompson.
Their efforts were acknowledged by the Saint Ignatius President, Father Paulson and Principal, Dr. Catherine Karl at a special awards event at Saint Ignatius along with twenty other teachers from around the Chicagoland area.
The high school administration expressed their appreciation for the excellent contributions the teachers have made in developing their students and promised to continue those efforts with those who are now at St. Ignatius. Dr. Karl said it was obvious to the Ignatius faculty the incoming freshman had received a strong foundation in academic areas as well as a development for a passion for learning.
I am sure you join with me in congratulating these two fine teachers. We are blessed to have them as part of your faculty.
