"Great character has no facades. It shines with honesty, respect, true humility, and an inner faith that knows we are but the recipients of a great gift." -T. Pagna
December February March April May This program relates to the
total development of students, it is important to remember
what a complete student is. A complete student is one who
succeeds academically, but also portrays a strong moral
character, with a clear sense of right and wrong. Helping
your children develop values such as honesty, self-reliance,
and dependability is as important a part of their education
as teaching them to read, write. We are hopeful this program will
have a positive impact on the daily life within each
classroom and with the relationships outside the classroom.
This is the primary step that everyone can take in
establishing the moral environment of America. We all need
to work towards universal values that affirm life and
enhance everyone's health and happiness. Parents,
Educators, and the Community play an important
role in the process of what is right and good for our common
life as Americans. Lets work together to teach the children
the values that can best protect them from the influences of
peer pressure and the temptations of consumer culture. With
their own values clearly defined, the children can make
their own decisions-rather than imitate their friends. St.
Mary School hopes to present a practical, proven,
month-by-month Character Education Program for their
students.

The
" CHARACTER EDUCATION PROGRAM " has been described as what
we do to help students know the good, love the good,
and do the good. The great power and benefit of
Character Education is its appeal to the student's
head, heart, and hands.
